Hyderabad, Feb 3: The makers of director Abhilash Kankara’s much-anticipated sports action film ‘Biker’, starring Sharwanand in the lead, announced on Tuesday that the film will now release globally on April 3, 2026.

Confirming the new release date, production house UV Creations took to X, building excitement with a high-octane announcement that signalled the film’s readiness for the big screen. The makers declared that the film is now locked for a grand worldwide release, promising an adrenaline-fuelled cinematic ride.

‘Biker’ was originally slated to hit theatres on December 6 last year, but the release was postponed after the makers decided to further enhance the film’s scale and viewing experience. At the time, the production team said they were aiming to deliver more than just a film, calling it an immersive experience crafted with care and passion.

The producers had earlier revealed that the film would release in multiple premium formats, including 3D and 4DX, and described it as an ambitious project that goes beyond conventional Telugu cinema. Emphasising the effort put in by the cast and crew, they had said the film was designed to raise heart rates, heighten adrenaline and leave audiences breathless.

Sharwanand plays a professional motorcycle racer in the film, which was initially referred to as #Sharwa36 during its early stages. Sources close to the project say the actor will be seen performing intense racing sequences and high-risk stunts that form the backbone of the narrative.

The film’s shoot was largely completed in Hyderabad, where several key motocross racing sequences were filmed. Insiders had earlier described these scenes as among the highlights of the film, predicting that Sharwanand’s performance and action set-pieces would offer viewers an unprecedented rush.

Actress Malavika Nair stars as the female lead, while seasoned actors Brahmaji and Atul Kulkarni play important roles. Produced by Vamsi and Pramod, the film is set against the vibrant and competitive world of motocross racing, weaving a story that spans three generations of a family and is set during the 1990s and early 2000s.

The technical crew includes cinematographer J Yuvraj, music composer Ghibran, editor Anil Kumar P, executive producer N Sandeep, production designer Rajeevan, and art director A Panneerselvam.

With its blend of speed, emotion and spectacle, ‘Biker’ is now gearing up to race into theatres this April, promising audiences a high-energy cinematic experience.
