Chennai, Feb 2: The makers of director Dijo Jose Antony’s high-budget Malayalam action film Pallichattambi have unveiled the first look of actress Kayadu Lohar, setting off excitement among fans and cinephiles. The film, which features Tovino Thomas in the lead, is slated for a grand worldwide release on April 9, 2026.
Kayadu Lohar, who earned widespread recognition for her performance in the Tamil blockbuster Dragon, plays the female lead opposite Tovino in this period action entertainer. Her first look poster was shared by Tovino Thomas himself on Instagram, where the actor expressed his emotional connection to the film and its characters. Announcing the release date, he described Pallichattambi as a story driven by love—for its world, its characters, and its spirit.

Backed by World Wide Films and C Qube Bros Entertainments, Pallichattambi promises to showcase Tovino Thomas in a completely new avatar. According to sources close to the production, the film is set against the backdrop of the 1950s and 60s, adding a strong period flavour to its action-packed narrative.
The project is being produced by Noufal and Brijeesh under the World Wide Films banner, along with Chanukya Chaithanya Charan for C Qube Bros Entertainments. The film will be released in five languages, including Malayalam, ensuring a wide reach across markets.
Alongside Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar, the film boasts a strong supporting cast that includes Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alexander, and several other well-known actors.
On the technical side, the screenplay has been written by S Suresh Babu, with cinematography by Tijo Tomy. Music is composed by popular Mollywood composer Jakes Bejoy, while editing is handled by Sreejith Sarang. The film’s production design has been overseen by Dileep Nath, with costumes designed by Manjusha Radhakrishnan.
Meghasyam and Thanzeer serve as associate producers, while Renit Raj and Kiran Raphael are the chief associate directors. Sound design is by Sync Cinema, art direction by Rajesh Menon, and casting has been managed by Binoy Nambala.
