Panaji, Jan 31: Goa has secured the second rank in the country in the implementation of the New Criminal Laws, according to the latest nationwide assessment.

Officials attributed the achievement to strong institutional support, focused administrative reforms and effective execution at the ground level. They said sustained encouragement from leadership, smooth inter-departmental coordination and cooperation among stakeholders played a key role in improving the state’s overall performance.

The improved ranking, officials noted, reflects Goa’s progress in operational efficiency, increased adoption of technology and successful integration of reforms introduced under the new criminal law framework, reaffirming the state’s commitment to modernising the justice delivery system.
