‘Kalki 2’ to go on floors in February; Santosh Narayanan hints at his best work yet

Hyderabad, Jan 24: Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, one of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters, is set to return with its much-awaited sequel, with the second part scheduled to go on floors in February. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the mytho sci-fi spectacle had crossed the Rs 1,000-crore mark at the global box office, emerging as a landmark film in Indian cinema.

Fueling excitement around the sequel, music director Santosh Narayanan has shared an upbeat update, saying Kalki 2 could turn out to be his finest work yet. In a recent interview, Narayanan said the team has already begun working on the sequel and is putting in immense effort to elevate the film further.

“Kalki 2898 AD was a massive learning experience for all of us. We have already started work on Kalki Part 2. Everyone involved is a mega star, and once dates align, shooting will begin. I hope this becomes my best work,” he said.

The sequel is expected to conclude the epic storyline introduced in the first film. Kamal Haasan will reprise his role as the antagonist, while Amitabh Bachchan is set to return in a pivotal role. The big-budget entertainer will once again be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.

With expectations soaring, all eyes are now on Kalki 2 as fans eagerly await further updates from the makers.
