Ahmedabad: Schools receive bomb threat ahead of Republic Day, investigation underway

Ahmedabad, Jan 23: Several schools across Ahmedabad received a bomb threat through email just days ahead of Republic Day on January 26, Ahmedabad’s crime branch said on Friday.

Following the alert, the city’s crime branch, along with the bomb squad and forensic department, launched an investigation into the threat. Authorities confirmed that the inquiry is currently ongoing, as they work to verify the credibility of the threat and ensure the safety of students and school staff.

Police have advised schools to remain vigilant and have increased security measures in the run-up to the national celebrations.
