Chhattisgarh, Jan 22: At least six workers lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in a blast at the Real Ispat Sponge Iron Factory in Bakulahi village, located in the Bhatapara rural area of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district on Thursday, officials reported.

Police and senior administrative officials rushed to the site following the incident and have launched relief and rescue operations.

The cause of the blast is currently under investigation.
