Chennai, Jan 20: Filmmaker Atlee and his wife, producer-actor Priya Atlee, have announced that they are expecting their second child, doubling the joy and celebrations in their household. The couple shared the happy news through a heart-warming Instagram post featuring their growing family, including their son Meer and their pets.

In the beautifully styled photo series, Priya is seen cradling her baby bump in a mehndi-green outfit, standing close to Atlee, while another frame captures little Meer adorably joining the shoot, radiating big-brother charm. The family’s pets were also part of the photos, adding warmth and a homely touch to the announcement.

Sharing the pictures, Priya wrote, “Our home is about to get even cosier with the addition of our newest member! Yes! We are pregnant again. Need all your blessings, love and prayers,” signing off with the names of all family members, including their pets.

The announcement quickly drew an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities. Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu congratulated the couple, calling the post “so so beautiful,” while Keerthy Suresh and several others from the film industry shared heart emojis and warm wishes in the comments section.

Atlee and Priya had earlier revealed their pregnancy journey in December 2022 and welcomed their son Meer on January 31, 2023, eight years after their wedding. The couple got married in 2014 after dating for several years.

On the work front, Atlee is currently preparing for his next ambitious directorial venture, a large-scale sci-fi action film tentatively titled AA22xA6, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone.
