PM Modi to launch NDA election campaign in Tamil Nadu on Jan 23

Daijiworld Media Network - Chennai

Chennai, Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Tamil Nadu on January 23 to launch the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election campaign at Maduranthakam, a move expected to end weeks of speculation over the alliance’s final shape in the southern state.

In a recent discussion, an AIADMK leader projected confidence, stating, “In the upcoming Legislative Assembly, we will win more than 210 seats. We will rule the country.” The NDA is reportedly in talks with regional leaders and parties, including OPS, TTV Dinakaran, and the DMDK, to consolidate support for the upcoming assembly elections.

The report highlights the strategic significance of this so-called ‘rainbow coalition’, which aims to challenge the DMK-led government under Chief Minister MK Stalin. With elections approaching for all 234 assembly seats, the January 23 event is positioned as a decisive moment for the NDA’s political roadmap in Tamil Nadu.
