Mumbai, Jan 7: Bollywood’s much-loved couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted back in Mumbai on Wednesday as they returned from their New Year vacation. The duo was clicked at the Mumbai airport, where they were greeted by photographers eager to capture their first public appearance of the year.
Ranbir acknowledged the paparazzi with a warm smile while seated in the car alongside Alia. Keeping it effortlessly stylish, the couple opted for relaxed travel outfits. Ranbir chose a classic black T-shirt paired with trousers and a cap, while Alia looked elegant yet comfortable in a flowing white kaftan dress.

Earlier, Alia delighted fans by sharing her first social media post of 2026, offering a glimpse into her picture-perfect family life. The post featured a heartwarming photograph of Alia dressed like a fairy godmother in a white ensemble, holding a wand, as Ranbir lifted their daughter Raha playfully in his arms. The family coordinated in white, capturing a magical moment from their New Year holiday.
The post quickly garnered widespread affection online, with fans flooding the comments section with messages such as “What a happy family,” “Such a beautiful frame,” and “This picture makes the heart feel so full.”
The actor couple welcomed the New Year away from the spotlight, spending quality time with their daughter at an undisclosed destination.
On the professional front, Ranbir and Alia are set to reunite on screen in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated romantic drama Love & War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal. The film is expected to explore an intense love triangle set against the backdrop of war, delving into the emotional conflict between responsibility and passion. Reports suggest the project draws inspiration from the iconic Bollywood classic Sangam, which starred Ranbir’s grandfather Raj Kapoor.
In addition to this, Alia will soon be seen in a high-octane action role in Alpha, the latest addition to the YRF spy universe. Co-starring Sharvari, the film is set to make history as the franchise’s first female-led action spectacle.
