Brahmavar, Dec 25: A tragic accident claimed the life of an auto rickshaw driver when his vehicle overturned near Hadimane Hotel in Mumbag, Saligrama.
The deceased has been identified as Bhoja Poojary (52), a resident of Karkad.
The driver had sustained serious injuries in the accident and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. However, despite medical care, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Bhoja Poojary was an active member of the local community, serving as an office-bearer of the Saligrama Auto Rickshaw Owners’ Association and participating in several social and service organisations. He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
