Mumbai, Dec 24: As the festive season kicks in, Bollywood romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is gearing up for a strong opening at the Indian box office. The film is set to hit theatres on December 25, coinciding with Christmas.

Going by advance booking trends at national cinema chains, the film has witnessed a sharp surge in the final hours of pre-sales. According to trade sources, it has already sold around 80,000 tickets for day one across PVR Inox and Cinepolis, indicating solid audience interest.

With these numbers, the Kartik-Ananya starrer has overtaken several post-pandemic Bollywood releases, including Tere Ishk Mein starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, which sold 76,000 tickets, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, which clocked 75,000 tickets in day-one pre-sales. The film has also edged past Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani at national chains.

Industry observers note that promotional campaigns, chartbuster songs and the film’s light-hearted romantic appeal have helped generate buzz, making it a suitable family entertainer for the holiday season. With Christmas being a national holiday, trade analysts expect strong spot bookings as well, which could further boost the opening-day collections.

With momentum clearly on its side, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri appears well-placed for a healthy start at the box office.
