Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School, organises meaningful outdoor Christmas celebration

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 24: Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS) organised a meaningful outdoor Christmas celebration with great love and enthusiasm at the Father Muller Paediatric Ward and Veronica Vihar on December 22, and at St Agnes Special School on December 23. These programmes were thoughtfully planned by the school and generously supported by well-wishers through contributions in both cash and kind.

As part of the celebration, kindergarten children, along with a few other students and staff members, visited the Father Muller Paediatric Ward to spread joy and cheer among the young patients. The MCCS children presented a touching programme that beautifully conveyed the true message of Christmas of love, care, kindness, and hope. Their cheerful greetings and warm smiles brought comfort and happiness to the patients and caregivers alike. Gifts were distributed to the children, and refreshments were served to everyone present.

The same team later visited Veronica Vihar, a home for differently abled adults, where the spirit of Christmas was shared in a deeply meaningful way.

The students presented the heartfelt programme filled with songs, greetings, and festive cheer, which was warmly received by the inmates. The interaction between the children and the residents created moments of joy, connection and mutual affection.

Christmas wishes were exchanged, and gifts and refreshments were distributed, bringing smiles on the faces of the inmates, thereby making the celebration truly memorable.

As a special gesture of sharing joy and inclusion, the students of grade VI D and E visited St Agnes Special School on December 23. Through lively performances, cheerful songs, and warm interactions, the students spread festive cheer and created a joyful atmosphere for the special children. Gifts and sweets were lovingly distributed to them, adding to their happiness and making the celebration even more meaningful. The programme fostered bonding, understanding, and appreciation, reminding everyone that the joy of Christmas lies in sharing love and kindness.

These visits helped MCCS students and staff understand the true essence of Christmas by fostering values of empathy, sharing and compassion. The celebration left a lasting impression on all and beautifully reflected the spirit of the season. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the management and staff of Father Muller Medical College, Veronica Vihar, and St Agnes Special School for their cooperation, and to the goodwill team and well-wishers for their generous support.
