Mumbai, Dec 23: Actor Anil Kapoor on Tuesday marked the 100th birth anniversary of his father, legendary film producer Surinder Kapoor, by sharing a deeply emotional tribute on social media.

The actor reflected on his father’s immense influence on both his personal life and professional journey, crediting him as the guiding force behind some of his most iconic films, including Mr. India and Woh 7 Din. Anil highlighted how his father’s faith, vision and quiet encouragement helped shape his career and left a lasting imprint on Indian cinema.

Sharing a collection of rare black-and-white and unseen photographs on Instagram, Anil Kapoor celebrated his father’s legacy and enduring presence in his life. In his post, he wrote that Surinder Kapoor was the reason he first aspired to become a leading man, hoping one day his father would see him succeed as a star making films under his banner.

He added that films like Woh 7 Din and Mr. India would not have been possible without his father’s guidance and goodwill. Anil described Surinder Kapoor’s simplicity, integrity and unwavering belief as the foundation of his own journey, expressing how deeply he feels his absence even today. Calling him his “guiding star,” the actor wished his father a heartfelt birthday.
