Mumbai, Dec 21: The makers of actor Yash’s much-awaited film ‘Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ have unveiled the first look of Kiara Advani’s character, Nadia, offering audiences a glimpse into what is being described as a powerful and transformative role for the actor.

The poster features Kiara Advani against a striking circus backdrop, blending glamour with an underlying sense of emotional depth. The visual hints at layers of grief and melancholy beneath the surface spectacle, suggesting a complex character that explores a new dimension of Advani’s acting range as she steps into the film’s distinctive cinematic universe.

Kiara Advani has emerged as one of Hindi cinema’s most bankable stars, gaining widespread recognition through her performances in ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Shershaah’. Her recent projects include ‘Game Changer’ and the much-anticipated ‘War 2’.

Yash, who rose to pan-Indian superstardom with the blockbuster ‘K.G.F’ franchise, became a household name for his portrayal of Rocky Bhai in ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’ (2018) and ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ (2022). The sequel went on to become the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time, breaking language and regional barriers. Prior to the franchise, Yash showcased his versatility in Kannada films such as ‘Googly’ (2013) and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari’ (2014).

Toxic is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, known for her festival favourite ‘Moothon’. The film marks a significant milestone for Kannada cinema and is being touted as the first major Indian project to be conceptualised, written and shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages. The film has been jointly written by Yash and Mohandas.

Praising Kiara Advani’s performance, Mohandas said, “Some performances don’t just belong to a film, they redefine an artist. What Kiara has created on screen is nothing short of transformative. She didn’t just play the role, she lived it, bringing immense emotional and artistic commitment to the character.”

The announcement comes as Yash prepares for his first on-screen appearance since ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’, which redefined box office benchmarks four years ago. The reveal also coincides with the seventh anniversary of ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’, the film that launched the blockbuster franchise.

The film boasts a strong technical team including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni and production designer T.P. Abid. Action sequences have been choreographed by Hollywood stunt director J.J. Perry of ‘John Wick’ fame, along with National Award-winning action duo Anbariv.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, during the festive holiday period of Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.
