Seven injured as KSRTC, private bus collide near Nidle

Beltangady, Dec 16: Seven passengers sustained minor injuries after a KSRTC bus and a private mini-bus collided head-on near Kuduraya Talekki Cross at Nidle on the Dharmasthala–Periyashanthi highway.

It is learnt that Ayyappa devotees were travelling in the private bus at the time of the accident. Following the collision, the driver and conductor of the KSRTC bus allegedly fled the spot.

The KSRTC bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Dharmasthala, while the private bus was heading from Dharmasthala to Subrahmanya.

A case has been registered at the Beltangady traffic police station.
