Mangaluru, Dec 14: On the third Sunday of Advent, December 14, the Omzoor Parish was blessed to witness a deeply moving spiritual moment as the Holy Family Statue and Cross, blessed six months ago, reached the main gate of the Church after completing their journey through the parish.
The sacred symbols were prayerfully brought in procession from Mermajal I Holy Family Ward and Arkula II Infant Mary Ward, accompanied by devoted parishioners who participated with reverence and faith. Upon their arrival at the church premises, the Holy Family Statue and Cross were warmly received by Fr William Menezes, parish priest, who blessed them along with the gathered faithful.

A solemn procession then led the Holy Family Statue and Cross into the church, marking a significant milestone in their parish journey. This was followed by the celebration of the holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr Victor D’Souza, resident priest. The homily was delivered by Fr William Menezes, who reflected on the spiritual significance of the Advent season and highlighted the Holy Family as a shining example of faith, love, humility, and obedience to God.
After the holy Mass, refreshments were served to all present, strengthening bonds of fellowship and nurturing a spirit of unity among the parish community. The event stood as a powerful reminder of hope, preparation, and togetherness as the faithful continue their advent journey in joyful anticipation of Christmas.
