Four dead, 27 injured in bus-truck collision on Jaipur–Bikaner Highway

Rajasthan, Dec 10: Tragedy struck late Tuesday night when a sleeper bus collided head-on with a truck on the Jaipur–Bikaner National Highway in Sikar district, leaving four passengers dead and 27 others injured, police said.

The bus, which was travelling from Bikaner towards Jaipur, was carrying a group returning to Gujarat after visiting Jammu & Kashmir. The impact of the collision was severe, causing multiple casualties on the spot.

Police said 15 injured passengers were shifted to the Sikar District Hospital for further treatment, while 13 others received primary medical aid at Fatehgarh. One critically injured person, who was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, later succumbed to injuries.

Authorities reached the spot immediately and launched rescue operations. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
