Mangaluru, Dec 10: Rock Star Roopesh Shetty’s latest Tulu film ‘Jai’ continues to set the box office on fire, completing 25 successful days while maintaining a strong hold across theatres. The movie, which opened to a record-breaking 1,020 shows on Day 1, has emerged as a blockbuster in both Tulu and Kannada languages.

Audiences across age groups children, youth, families, and seniors have widely appreciated the movie for its fresh presentation, gripping storyline, and stellar performances. The film also marks Suniel Shetty’s debut in Tulu cinema, adding massive excitement among viewers. The usage of a helicopter sequence, a first in Tulu film history, has further elevated the film’s scale and appeal.

Speaking about the overwhelming response, director-actor Roopesh Shetty expressed joy and gratitude. “Jai is my dream project. We made this film with utmost dedication, and many people have worked tirelessly for it. The audience response is our biggest reward,” he said.

In Mangaluru, ‘Jai’ has performed exceptionally well, sustaining full-house shows for four consecutive weeks. Viewers, especially school students and families, have showered immense love on the film, making it one of the most celebrated releases of the year.

Produced under RS Cinemas, Shoolin Films, and Mugrodi Productions, the film features prominent artistes from the coastal region. The story and dialogues are penned by Prasanna Shetty Bailoor.

In a historic milestone for Tulu cinema, ‘Jai’ is all set for the biggest-ever Tulu premiere in Mumbai on December 14. The film will be screened across nine theatres, with over 25 special shows scheduled for the day an unprecedented moment for the Tulu film fraternity.
