Mumbai, Dec 10: The State Bank of India (SBI) is set to recruit close to 1,000 specialists in wealth management, reflecting a growing shift in customer preference from traditional savings to investment-led banking.

The recruitment drive, announced through an advertisement for Specialist Cadre Officers, includes hiring for roles such as relationship managers and customer relationship executives across major commercial hubs including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi.

These fixed-term, lateral positions will focus on managing affluent and high-net-worth clients, driving sales of investment and insurance products, and enhancing revenue linked to customer portfolios rather than conventional deposit-based income streams.
