Mangaluru: Special Nagercoil–Madgaon Express trains to run from Dec 24 to clear holiday rush

Mangaluru, Dec 8: Passengers travelling between Nagercoil and Madgaon are in for a festive-season relief. In coordination with Southern Railway, special trains will operate from December 24, 2025 to January 7, 2026 to manage the extra rush of travellers during the holiday period.

Train No. 06083 Nagercoil Jn.–Madgaon Jn Express Special will depart every Tuesday from Nagercoil Jn. at 11:40 hrs, from December 24, 2025 to January 6, 2026, and arrive at Madgaon Jn. at 08:50 hrs the following day. Train No. 06084 Madgaon Jn–Nagercoil Jn. Express Special will depart every Wednesday from Madgaon Jn at 10:15 hrs, from December 25, 2025 to January 7, 2026, and reach Nagercoil Jn. at 11:00 hrs the following day.

The train will halt at major stations including Eraniel, Kulitturai, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam Jn., Kayankulam Jn, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur Jn., Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Kasargod, Mangaluru Jn, Surathkal, Udupi, Kundapur, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Murudeshwar, Kumta, and Karwar.

The train’s composition consists of a total of 21 coaches, including two 3-Tier AC coaches, 15 sleeper coaches, two general coaches, and two SLR coaches.
