Panaji, Dec 6: In a coordinated crackdown on drug peddling across North Goa, the anti-narcotics cell (ANC) arrested four individuals in Sanquelim and Sattari on Friday, recovering narcotics valued at around Rs 1.7 lakh. Acting on specific intelligence, two ANC teams raided the home of an accused in Sanquelim, where they found 1.7kg of ganja. Interrogation of the suspect led officers to another individual believed to be the primary supplier of ganja in the area, DySP Nerlon Albuquerque said.
In a parallel operation, ANC personnel traced two more suspected peddlers operating in the Sattari region. A raid was carried out, and although the accused tried to flee, they were quickly apprehended. Police registered two separate cases, arresting all four individuals and seizing a car and a two-wheeler allegedly used in the drug trade.

In a separate bust, Anjuna police arrested Sahil Manohar Korgavvkar, 25, from Pernem, after he was found in illegal possession of 316 paper blots of suspected LSD. The seized substance, weighing 6.5g, is estimated to be worth about Rs 7.9 lakh, officials said.
