Udupi, Dec 6: Fr Anil D’Costa, principal of St Anthony’s Global Academy, Bengaluru, has been awarded a doctoral degree in History by Christ University, Bengaluru, for his exceptional research on “Educational and Socio-Cultural Accomplishments, Leader Motives, and Congregational Culture of the Franciscan Capuchins from a Historical Perspective.”
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Capuchin fraternity, who take immense pride in his scholarly accomplishment.



Fr Anil, a native of Kelarai, Mangaluru, was ordained in 2008. Over the years, he has served the province in multiple capacities, including four years as vocation promoter and nine years as principal of Trinity Central School, Perampalli, Udupi. He currently holds the position of principal at St Anthony’s Global Academy, Bengaluru.
Celebrating his achievement, members of the Capuchin community, alongside family and friends, lauded his dedication, perseverance, and passion for education and research, rejoicing in this remarkable milestone in his academic journey.
