Amroha, Dec 4: A horrific accident on the Atrasi Service Road near Rajbpur Police Station claimed the lives of four MBBS students when a Swift Dzire car, traveling at high speed, collided with a foam-filled canter parked on the roadside. The impact caused the car to crumple completely and burst into flames, leaving the students trapped.

The accident occurred around 9 PM on Wednesday. Police reports indicate that the car, coming from Gazraula towards Delhi, was moving at over 100 km/h. Suddenly spotting the parked canter, the driver lost control and, without applying the handbrake, rammed into the vehicle. Witnesses described the crash sound as resembling a bomb explosion, and the ensuing fire drew a large crowd, causing heavy congestion on the highway.

All four victims were part of the 2020 MBBS batch, completing their internships at the time. The students—Ayush Sharma (Dwarka Sector-16, Delhi), Sapt Rishi Das (Arthala, Ramnagar, Tripura), Arnab Chakraborty, and Shreshtha Pancholi—were close friends and were returning from their university when the tragic incident occurred. Police recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examinations. The canter driver is reported to have fled the scene.
