Rajasthan, Dec 3: Police in Rajsamand have arrested two individuals and seized a pick-up truck loaded with a huge quantity of explosives during a special operation carried out at Trinetra Circle. The seized materials include over 100 cartons of gelatin sticks and detonators, reportedly capable of causing destruction within a 10-km radius.

The accused, identified as Bhagwat Singh and Himmat Singh from Rajasthan, were intercepted based on specific intelligence inputs. Upon inspection, the police discovered 981 gelatin sticks, 93 detonators, and a safety fuse concealed in the vehicle. The duo failed to produce any legal documents authorizing the transportation of the explosive materials.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nathdwara, Shipra Rajawat, informed that the truck has been taken into custody and a detailed probe has begun to determine the intended use of the explosives. Authorities suspect the consignment may have been destined for illegal mining activities, given the large number of marble quarries located in the region.

A criminal case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to uncover the network behind the transportation of the explosives.
