Mangaluru, Nov 30: St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai joyfully celebrated its annual feast in honor of its patron, St Francis Xavier on Sunday, November 30. The occasion brought together parishioners in a spirit of gratitude, unity, and renewed faith, marking an important moment in the life of the parish community.

The celebration began by honouring the donors, well-wishers, and community leaders for their generosity and committed service towards the growth and betterment of the parish.

This was followed by the solemn Holy Eucharist, celebrated with great devotion and festivity. The main celebrant, Fr Jaison Pais, assistant director of Loyola Vikas Kendra, Hangal, Haveri, highlighted the importance of nurturing hope through faith and resilience in carrying out the Church’s evangelical mission, drawing inspiration from the life and zeal of St Francis Xavier.

A total of twenty priests concelebrated the Mass, with a large gathering of faithful participating prayerfully in the celebration.

At the conclusion of the eucharist, Dr John Baptist Saldanha, parish priest, extended his gratitude to the main celebrant, concelebrating priests, religious sisters, parishioners, and all generous donors for their unwavering support and contributions toward various parish initiatives.

Ashok Pinto (vice president), Avitha Pinto (secretary), Godwin Pinto (convener of 21 Commissions), members of the Parish Pastoral Parishad, ward leaders and representatives, commission representatives, and various parish associations played active roles in organizing and coordinating the feast, ensuring its smooth and meaningful celebration.

The day was truly a blessing to foster the unity and communitarian spirit of the parish.b
