Stockton, Nov 30: Four people, including children, were killed and ten others injured when gunfire erupted during a family gathering at a banquet hall in Stockton, California, late Friday night, officials said.

Heather Brent, spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that the victims included both adults and children. She said preliminary findings indicate that the attack “may have been a targeted incident,” though investigators are still working to determine the exact motive.

The shooting occurred inside the banquet hall, which shares a parking lot with several nearby businesses. Multiple victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though authorities have not released further details on their conditions.
