Hyderabad, Nov 29: The team behind director Buchi Babu Sana’s much-anticipated rural action drama ‘Peddi’, starring Ram Charan, is currently shooting a major fight sequence on a massive specially constructed set in Hyderabad.
According to unit sources, celebrated Bollywood stunt director Sham Kaushal—known for his acclaimed work on Dangal—is overseeing the high-octane action block, while stunt master Navakanth is choreographing the sequence. The makers brought Kaushal on board specifically because this action segment is expected to be one of the standout moments of the film, prompting the team to mount the shoot on an extraordinary scale.

The intense fight sequence features Ram Charan alongside multiple fighters, and also includes Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, who plays Gour Naidu. The elaborate set for the action portion was designed by production designer Avinash Kolla at the Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad.
‘Peddi’, which has already created significant buzz with its first-look posters and promotional glimpses, is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and is being made on a massive budget.
Sources add that director Buchi Babu Sana, known for his precision and perfectionism, is giving exceptional attention to every action set piece, ensuring each fight sequence stands out with its distinct concept and execution.
The film has also achieved global recognition with its first single, ‘Chikiri Chikiri’, which has crossed 110 million views and continues to trend worldwide as one of the year’s biggest chartbusters.
Along with Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, the film features Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma in key roles.
‘Peddi’ boasts a powerful technical lineup with Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman composing the music, veteran cinematographer R. Rathnavelu crafting the visuals, and National Award–winning editor Navin Nooli handling the edits.
The film is set for a grand pan-India theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
