Bantwal, Nov 26: A miscreant allegedly set fire to a petty shop at Shunthihitlu in Aralagrame, Bantwal taluk, on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to the structure and goods.

The shop, located by the roadside on the Shunthihitlu–Navagram route, is run by Shekhabba, who sells snacks and other items. According to the complaint, a local resident identified as Rajesh is accused of intentionally setting the shop ablaze.
