Kolkata, Nov 23: The body of 33-year-old Adarsh Losalka, a chartered accountant from Dubrajpur in Birbhum, was found on Saturday afternoon in a hotel room in Kasba’s Rajdanga area, police said. Investigators are tracing two companions seen with him on CCTV.

Losalka had checked into the hotel Friday night with a male and female companion, all captured on CCTV entering the building. Footage later showed the two leaving while Losalka remained in the room. Hotel staff discovered his body the next day, noting a deep wound on the back of his head.

“Initially we suspect murder,” a senior police officer said. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and online booking records to trace the companions’ movements.

Losalka lived in Kolkata with friends and had informed his father he was heading to New Alipore for work. Police emphasized locating the two companions is a priority to clarify the events of Friday night.

Authorities are also examining possible links to a similar case in October, when a man’s decomposed body was found in a hotel room storage area under suspicious circumstances.
