Panaji, Nov 22: Goa chief minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced that the Mhaje Ghar Yojana will remain active for a limited six-month window. The scheme, which began on October 4, 2025, will close on April 2, 2026, allowing eligible beneficiaries sufficient time to file their applications.

Calling it a one-time opportunity, the chief minister noted that some individuals had moved the court against the scheme despite having accepted money under it.

He also clarified that landlords will only be permitted to sell their land once mundkars receive the portion of land that is rightfully due to them.
