Permannur, Nov 19: The ICYM Permannur Annual Day was held on November 16 at St Sebastian Auditorium–1. The programme began with an introduction, hosted by the stage programme MC, Willson Tellis, followed by a prayer song led by the ICYM members. The Velankani Ward presented the welcome dance, after which the dignitaries were escorted to the dais. The president of ICYM Permannur, Pramith D’Souza, delivered the welcome speech, and the secretary, Preemal D’Souza, presented the Annual Report of the year.
The Monthi Feast prize distribution was conducted by Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, president of the ICYM Mangalore Council, who also shared a message with the gathering. This was followed by the Children’s Day prize distribution, with honours presented by Arun D’Souza, the vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Jyothi D’Souza, the secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, and Fr Ashwin Cardoza, the director of ICYM Mangalore Council, who also addressed the audience with his message.















A token of gratitude was offered to the members by Fr Vikas Pereira, the director of ICYM South deanery, who then delivered his message. The programme continued with the felicitation of the former president and secretary, as well as the recognition of student achievers, led by Fr Cyprian Pinto, the director of ICYM Permannur. He then addressed the gathering with the presidential speech. The formal stage programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rishal Monteiro.
After the formal segment, the event continued with a vibrant cultural programme, anchored by the cultural programme MC, Shelomi Veigas. The performances included dances by ICYM members, Thersa Ward, Cocess Ward, Joseph 1st Ward, Stri Sanghatan, Shining Star Children, and Fathima 1st Ward. Singing performances were presented by the Velankani Ward children and the Permannur Children’s Choir. Thersa Ward also staged an engaging skit titled “Gurkar Nidun Podla.” The celebration concluded joyfully with a round of Housie Housie.
