Mangaluru, Nov 18: ‘Surajya: Good Governance – Wheel of Democracy,’ a book penned by young author and orator Reshel Bretny Fernandes, was formally released by MLA Umanath Kotian on November 16. The book is dedicated to Good Governance Day and pays tribute to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, highlighting various aspects of good governance and its deep connection with the people in a democratic system.
Reshel, known for her articulate public speaking and impactful social engagement, has received several awards including the prestigious Kittur Rani Chennamma Award from the Government of Karnataka along with multiple national and international recognitions.
Former Panchayat member Yogesh Shetty was present during the book release ceremony.
Reshel is an alumna of DPS MRPL, Ladyhill Victoria, and Sri Mahaveera College, Moodbidri. She is currently pursuing her LLB at SDM Law College, Moodbidri.
