Minor girl kidnapped from Khareband; police register case

Margao, Nov 18: The Margao police have registered a kidnapping case after a minor girl from Khareband reportedly went missing on November 15.

According to the complaint filed by the girl’s father, a resident of Khareband and native of Bihar, an unknown person allegedly abducted his daughter from his lawful guardianship without consent.

Police have registered an FIR under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act, 1989. Investigations are underway to trace the minor and identify the accused.
