Mangaluru, Nov 15: Prof Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, vice- chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, addressed the gathering as a chief guest at the 15th convocation ceremony on the November 15, Saturday at the Yendurance Zone, located in the University’s Deralakatte campus, Mangaluru.
She began by lauding Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) for his significant dedication and contribution to the field of education and healthcare. She also congratulated the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) for prioritising the vital values of excellence, ethics, equality, and equity while promoting integrity, innovation and imagination in its students.
Prof Santhishree encouraged new graduates to embrace the life’s boundless opportunities as the world awaits the application of their expertise put in towards the greater good of the community and by extension of the Nation. She encouraged them to build moral and intellectual resistance while thriving to build an inclusive society that pushes to ensure that all members thrive towards the common good.















Prof Santhishree Dhulipudi Pandit concluded her address concluded by leaving the graduates with the opening lines of Rabindranath Tagore’s poem ‘Mind Without Fear’ a powerful reminder to ‘Step into the world with confidence. "Stay curious. Think boldly. Stand by what is right. Keep your mind open and your spirit fearless," she said.
Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, director and CEO of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bengaluru, was the guest of honour of the graduation ceremony. While addressing the graduates he gave them 5 words to navigate the future filled with possibilities successfully: Knowledge, wisdom, values, purpose and humanity. These are all connected one strengthens the next. When knowledge grows into wisdom, wisdom shapes values, values guide purpose, and purpose leads to a life rooted in humanity. This, he said, is the path to meaningful success.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), who led the proceedings and conferred degrees upon the graduates.
A total of 3,733 students across faculties of including medicine, dentistry, nursing, & healthcare professions, commerce and management, science, arts and social sciences, pharmacy, ayurveda, and homeopathy were awarded with PhD, under graduate, and post graduate degrees, including the awarding of gold medals to 10 gold medalists.
Dr M Vijayakumar, vice-chancellor Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), presented the University report, highlighting key academic and institutional milestone in the academic year 2024-25.
Dr BT Nandish, controller of examinations, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) administered the oath to the graduates. Dr Gangadhara Somayaji K S, registrar, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University proposed the vote of thanks.

Other statutory officers, deans, centre heads and faculty from the constituent units along with members of academic council, executive council and board of management were present on the event.
The convocation stands to honour the hard work of its graduates and reaffirm the University’s commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals who embody academic excellence, compassion, and service to society.
