CHD Group engages in food and health systems at COP30 meeting in Brazil

Mangaluru, Nov 15: CHD Group, an Indian public health organization holding UNECOSOC special consultative status has sent an 8-member delegation for COP30 meeting at Belem in Brazil. The COP30 meeting of the UNFCCC marks an important milestone from the Paris Agreement and the Rio Earth Summit.

From protecting forests and environment to cutting emissions and reducing fossil fuels, besides strengthening adaptation finance, mainstreaming food and health into climate conversations and establishing early warning systems, COP30 is identifying the Baku to Belem threads and what needs to urgently be addressed in favour of earthly survival.

CHD Group has sent a group of scientists, doctors, public health professionals and administrators to participate and engage into various meetings at COP30 and other multilateral processes of the negotiations. CHD Group has been consistently sending delegations since the Sharm El-Sheikh meeting in Egypt and has been at the forefront of conversations with the United Nations.
