Mumbai, Nov 15: Bigg Boss 19 took a dramatic turn after contestant Gaurav Khanna chose his captaincy over another housemate’s nomination and weekly ration, triggering emotional outbursts and a major clash inside the house.
The decision left Shehbaz Badesha furious, who broke down in tears alleging that Bigg Boss had cheated him. Amaal Mallik, standing firmly by Shehbaz, launched into an angry rant, calling Bigg Boss “unfair” and “a cheater”, even accusing the creative team of manipulating the game. “You played unfair… Endemol, Colors, you played a dirty trick. Today Bigg Boss himself cheated,” Amaal said, claiming it was “a first in history”.
As Amaal even offered to walk out with Shehbaz, Kunickaa attempted to calm the situation, but Shehbaz insisted on leaving the show, saying he felt betrayed.
However, social media had a very different reaction. Viewers heavily criticised Shehbaz and Amaal, pointing out that Bigg Boss had allegedly favoured them throughout the season. Netizens called their outrage “hypocritical”, with many claiming this was the most “biased season ever”.
One user wrote, “Too much bias for Amaal, Farhana, Shahbaz and Kunickaa.” Another questioned, “How much more unfair will you be to Gaurav just to support your favourite?” Several viewers accused Amaal and Shehbaz of enjoying maximum support from Bigg Boss all season and now “playing the victim”.
Some even mocked the outburst, saying, “The ones who got the most favours are now calling BB a cheater. Karma!” Others praised Gaurav for “playing the game smartly” and standing firm on his decision.
A few viewers, however, sided with Shehbaz and Amaal, calling the episode “unfair” and criticising the makers for altering decisions mid-task.
The controversy began after Bigg Boss called contestants to the App Room, offering them a choice between 10% weekly ration or access to a social media update. While some opted for ration, others chose social media. Shehbaz, who wasn’t given a choice, lost his cool and called the show “biased”.
As emotions continue to run high, the episode has set social media buzzing, with fans split over who is right — Gaurav for prioritising captaincy, or Shehbaz and Amaal for calling out the makers.
