FIR filed in Panaji over alleged unsafe LPG decanting

Panaji, Nov 14: The Panaji Police have registered an FIR following a complaint about allegedly illegal and unsafe LPG decanting behind Mom’s Kitchen at La Campala Colony on the night of November 13.

The complaint stated that two individuals in an LPG delivery vehicle (GA-01-T-4284), reportedly in collusion with Francis Martin, manager of Goa Gas Service, were transferring LPG from a pressurized cylinder into an empty one in an open public area. The act was carried out without any safety precautions, reportedly endangering public safety and constituting theft of LPG.

Authorities have registered the case under Sections 125, 303(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Panaji P.S. Cr No. 157/2025). Investigations are currently ongoing.
