Mumbai, Nov 12: Music composer Abu Malik, brother of Anu Malik, recently opened up about Shehnaaz Gill’s emotional journey following the death of her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant and close friend Sidharth Shukla in September 2021. Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, he revealed that Shehnaaz is still coming to terms with the loss and emphasized that her reported dating rumours with actor-dancer Raghav Juyal cannot be confirmed.
Abu Malik said, “Shehnaaz is still trying to come to terms with Sidharth’s death. I think it will take her another couple of years to move on. That said, Raghav and Shehnaaz look good together, and if they ever come out as a couple, they will make a lovely pair. My only suggestion to Shehnaaz is to move on in life.”

He also recalled his own reaction to the news of Sidharth’s passing: “When I heard the news, I just couldn’t believe it. I was hospitalized for deep vein thrombosis at the time. After discharge, I went to meet Shehnaaz and Sidharth’s family and ended up staying for seven hours instead of one.”
Shehnaaz and Raghav had previously collaborated on the 2023 film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which sparked speculation about their relationship. Both have consistently maintained that they are just friends. Raghav had earlier dismissed the rumours, saying, “They are baseless. We just joke around. Shehnaaz’s problem is that she did Bigg Boss 13. The audience gets so invested in personal lives during the show that it creates unnecessary drama.”
Shehnaaz too addressed the rumours directly, saying, “Why does the media lie? Just because we are standing together or walking together doesn’t mean we’re in a relationship. Media reports are senseless.”
Abu Malik’s comments shed light on Shehnaaz’s emotional state, highlighting that she is still grieving Sidharth’s loss while navigating public speculation about her personal life.
