Dublin, Nov 11: Condolences and messages of support have poured in from across the globe following the devastating car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station that claimed eight lives and left several others injured.
The blast, which occurred on Monday evening near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, involved a Haryana-registered car and has drawn widespread international concern and sympathy.
Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris expressed his sorrow and solidarity on social media, writing, “Deeply saddened by the tragic explosion in Delhi this evening. Our thoughts are with all those who lost their lives, the injured, and their families. We offer our full support and solidarity with the people and Government of India at this difficult time.”

China’s Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, also conveyed his condolences, stating, “Saddened by the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station. My deepest condolences to the victims, and my thoughts are with everyone affected.”
From Germany, Ambassador Philipp Ackermann shared his grief, posting, “Devastated and shocked by the news about yesterday's blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends who lost their loved ones in the explosion, and I hope for a swift recovery of all those injured.”
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry likewise extended its sympathy, affirming, “Ukraine shares the grief of the people and government of India following a tragic explosion in the heart of New Delhi that claimed lives and injured many. We express condolences to the victims' families and wish a speedy recovery to those who have been injured.”
In the United Kingdom, Conservative MP Priti Patel called the incident “horrifying” and urged the British Government to assist its nationals in Delhi. “My thoughts are with the families of those killed, the emergency responders, and the Indian people as they confront this dark moment,” she posted.
