Grand ‘Sri Guru Samavesha’ to be held in Mangaluru on February 21, 2026

Mangaluru, Nov 7: To commemorate the historic event of philosopher and social reformer Brahmashree Narayana Guru consecrating the idol at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra on February 21, 1912, his followers have announced the organization of a grand Sri Guru Samavesha in Mangaluru on February 21, 2026.

Brahmashree Narayana Guru, who showed a new path of life to the backward communities, was a visionary who initiated a social and religious revolution. His revolutionary decision paved the way for the underprivileged to join the mainstream of society. The upcoming convention aims to recall his contributions and is expected to be a historic gathering with followers of the Guru participating from across India and abroad.

Several prominent organizations—including Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, GejjeGiri Kshetra, Katpady Vishwanatha Temple, Kankanady Garadi Kshetra, Rashtriya Billawa Mahamandala, Akhila Bharath Billawa Union, Gokarnanath Bank, Bharat Bank, Gurudev Bank, Atmashakti Bank, Moorthedara Sahakari Sangha, Yuvavahini, Narayana Guru Yuvavedike (Mangaluru and Udupi), Narayana Guru Vichara Vedike, Biruver Kudla, and various Billawa associations and women’s organizations from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Kerala—will lead and coordinate the convention.

The Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, consecrated by Narayana Guru himself, stands today as a model of unity and brotherhood, promoting equality and devotion beyond caste and creed. Upholding the Guru’s vision, the temple has become a spiritual center that inspires self-realization and fosters mental, social, religious, economic, and educational growth among people.

The Sri Guru Samavesha will focus on spreading awareness about the Guru’s philosophy, social reforms, and spiritual teachings. Over one lac devotees and followers are expected to participate, making it one of the largest gatherings dedicated to the Guru’s legacy.
