Expert PU College concludes Annual Sports Meet 2025 with grand valedictory ceremony

Mangaluru, Nov 5: The Annual Sports Meet 2025 at Expert Pre-University College, Valachil, Mangaluru, began with a vibrant inauguration by Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson of the Expert Group of Institutions. Addressing the students, she encouraged them to compete with integrity and a true sportsman spirit, highlighting resilience as key to overcoming challenges both on and off the field. The official sports oath was administered by Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, reaffirming the commitment to fair play.

The grand valedictory ceremony was presided over by Ankush N Nayak, IT director of the Expert Group of Institutions. The chief guest, Dr Haridas Kuloor, assistant director, department of Physical Education, Mangalore University, congratulated the participants and winners, emphasizing the importance of self-motivation and sportsmanship in achieving success. Dr Kuloor later presented trophies and prizes to the champions and winners.

The programme included a welcome address by Mohammad Ameen, president of the students’ council, and a formal introduction of the chief guest by Jasmine Prathibha of the English department. Ankush N Nayak presented a memento to Dr Kuloor, and Dr Narayana Kudva announced the names of the winners. The event was expertly compered by Swathi from the English department.

Distinguished attendees included Ustaad Rafique Khan, trustee; Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal; Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (academics); and Dhruthi V Hegde, vice principal (administration). The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ujwal Shivanand Boodihal, vice president of the students’ council, and Sooraj Athreya, sports secretary, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the meet.
