Udupi, Nov 1: SMVITM, renowned for nurturing young innovators, is all set to host its flagship National-Level Hackathon – Hackotsava 2025 on November 3 and 4, 2025. The two-day coding extravaganza aims to bring together brilliant minds from across the state to collaborate, code, and create impactful technological solutions.
With 180 teams of registrations received, a meticulous screening process was conducted to shortlist 80+ top-performing teams that will now compete in the final hackathon round. Participants hail from reputed institutions across India, reflecting the event’s growing prominence and reach.
This year’s Hackotsava features real-world problem statements provided by leading industry partners as well as provided a paid internship opportunity to students, making it a unique platform for students to solve genuine corporate challenges. The event is sponsored by Be Practical, Tetherfi, Sangam One, Karmic Solution, Fernandez Group, Real Meta, and other well-wishers. These companies will also serve as problem providers and judges, ensuring that participants receive direct exposure to industry standards and professional evaluation.
To recognize innovation and creativity, attractive cash prizes have been announced — 1st prize: Rs 35,000, 2nd prize: Rs 25,000 and best innovators (4 teams): Rs 10,000 each.
The event will also feature mentoring sessions, technical talks, and overnight coding marathons, offering participants an immersive learning experience.
