Arambol, Oct 29: Police have registered four separate cases against four women from Arambol for allegedly obstructing tourists while selling items on the beach without proper permissions.

The women, all residents of Arambol and originally from Karnataka, were reportedly selling woollen threads, mehendi cones, and hand bands to visiting tourists.

No arrests have been made yet, but the women have been served notices under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 for obstructing public movement and conducting unauthorized commercial activity.

Authorities stated that further investigation is ongoing to determine if the women are part of a larger network operating on the beach without licenses.
