BJP slams Mahagathbandhan’s Bihar manifesto as bundle of lies

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 29: The BJP has launched a sharp attack on the Mahagathbandhan’s Bihar Assembly election manifesto, calling it a “bundle of lies” and accusing the Opposition alliance of misleading the people with hollow promises reminiscent of the feared “jungle raj.”

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters, “Promises are being made, but the intention is of jungle raj. The people of Bihar still remember the pain caused during that era. Everyone knows these assurances are a hoax. If the Mahagathbandhan thinks they can win votes with false promises, they are mistaken. This alliance has already collapsed, and every manifesto they release will only shock them further.”

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal dismissed the opposition’s pledges, stating, “How can someone promise government jobs for every household? Tejashwi Yadav has committed a major fraud against the people of Bihar. This manifesto is not for the public — it serves the Mahagathbandhan’s personal agenda. People will not fall for such deceit.”

Union Minister B.L. Verma added, “It’s not a Mahagathbandhan anymore — Tejashwi Yadav is calling all the shots. This so-called manifesto is full of lies aimed at deceiving the people of Bihar, but the electorate is wise and fully aware of their intentions.”

Meanwhile, All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba highlighted the Congress’s focus on women’s issues, saying, “Whether it’s the national elections or Bihar’s, women are bringing their concerns to the forefront. We are addressing inflation, unemployment, safety, permanent housing, and other pressing issues seriously in this election.”

Mahagathbandhan Manifesto Highlights

The RJD-led Mahagathbandhan unveiled its manifesto on Tuesday, titled ‘Bihar Ka Tejaswi Pran’, emphasizing that Tejashwi Yadav, the alliance’s CM candidate, would be the driving force behind the government if elected. The manifesto promises:

• Government jobs for every family in Bihar.
• Financial assistance to crores of women under the ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’.

The launch took place at a joint press conference in Patna, attended by VIP leader Mukesh Sahni, CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya, and Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Akhilesh Prasad Singh.

Tejashwi Yadav, addressing the media, said, “We aim to form a government with the purpose of developing Bihar. Presenting this pledge together is a matter of pride. This is our commitment, and we will sacrifice to fulfil every promise. We want to make Bihar a developed state.”

The manifesto has quickly become the center of political debate, with the BJP rejecting it outright and the Mahagathbandhan attempting to position itself as the alliance championing jobs, women’s welfare, and development.

Only during elections our Leaders (Central or State) find a lot of time to be with people. Also, a lot of promises are made, they they wash their hands. BJP is no less. Look at a few promises made. If our Election Commission was strong and independent, all these false promises can be avoided. Make a Disciplinary code of conduct and punish those lie to people irrespective of party they belong to.
