New Delhi, Oct 23: Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 continues to entertain viewers with its engaging quiz rounds and candid interactions between host Amitabh Bachchan and contestants. The show airs Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television.

In a recently released promo, a young contestant named Harshil, appearing in the junior segment, asked Big B whether his son, Abhishek Bachchan, really loves biryani, referencing his film Kaalidhar Laapata.

Amitabh Bachchan humorously confirmed, saying, “Haan, bahut zabardast hain vo. Roj khaate hain biryani.” (Yes, he absolutely loves it. He eats biryani every day.)

Kaalidhar Laapata, released in July, depicts Abhishek as a middle-aged man with memory loss, living independently after being abandoned by his family. The character indulges in his favourite dish, biryani, whenever he earns enough.

Amitabh Bachchan added that he felt slightly relieved when Harshil requested biryani on the show, remarking, “Isiliye humko thoda sa araam mil gya jab aapne kaha ki aapko biryani chahiye. Kuch special nahi karna padega.” (That is why I felt a bit relieved when you said you wanted biryani. I would not have to do anything special.)

However, the legendary actor ensured it would still be a treat for the young contestant, promising, “Special karenge aapke liye. Cheese biryani.” (We will make it special for you – cheese biryani.)

The light-hearted exchange offered viewers a glimpse into the Bachchan family’s personal side, adding warmth and fun to the quiz show experience.
