Panaji, Oct 11: The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced a revised date for the necessary water supply shutdown originally planned for October 13. The maintenance work, which is essential for leakage repairs on major pipelines, will now take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The PWD’s Works Division V, DDW Xelpem, Sanguem, will be carrying out crucial maintenance on the 1400 mm Mild Steel (MS) and 1200 mm Pre-Stressed Concrete (PSC) pipelines connected to the 160 MLD Water Treatment Plant.

Due to this rescheduling and the scale of the work, residents across a substantial portion of South Goa should prepare for restricted water supply throughout October 14 and 15.

The major areas expected to be affected include:

• Sanguem
