Poriem, Sattari | Oct 9: A student at a government primary school in Poriem, Sattari sustained injuries after a ceiling fan collapsed during class hours, just days after the school underwent recent renovations.

The injured child was first rushed to Sanquelim Hospital for initial treatment and later referred to Asilo Hospital in Mapusa for further medical care. The extent of the injuries has not yet been officially disclosed.

The incident has prompted an investigation by school authorities and local officials, who are looking into whether poor workmanship or substandard materials may have contributed to the accident.
