Hyderabad, Oct 7: The newest power couple of the film industry, Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya, continue to win hearts both on and off-screen. From sharing adorable moments on social media to appearing together on the cover of Vogue, the duo has become the talk of the town.

In a candid chat with actor Jagapathi Babu on Jayammu Nishchayammuraa on Zee5, Naga Chaitanya revealed a light-hearted incident that briefly upset Sobhita. The Thandel actor said that his wife didn’t speak to him for a week after a misunderstanding over the song ‘Bujji Thalli’ from his recent blockbuster film.

“She was so angry that she did not talk to me for a few days. She thought I had asked the director to use that phrase in the film, but why would I do that?” Chaitanya laughed, adding that ‘Bujji Thalli’—meaning ‘loved one’—is actually his nickname for Sobhita. “Any relationship isn’t real if a couple doesn’t fight once in a while,” he added playfully.

During the same interview, Chaitanya also opened up about how their romance began. Surprisingly, the two first connected on Instagram. “I had posted about my cloud kitchen Shoyu, and she dropped an emoji on the post. That’s how it all started,” he said with a smile.

Their online chat soon blossomed into a real-life relationship. Naga proposed to Sobhita in August 2023, and the couple tied the knot on December 4, 2024, in a private ceremony at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad.

In a rapid-fire segment, the Love Story actor confessed that he “cannot live without” his wife and would never trade his life with anyone else. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” he said.
