Panaji, Oct 4: In a significant move aimed at addressing long-standing grievances of the local taxi community, MLAs Pravin Arlekar and Jit Arolkar, along with a group of protesting taxi operators, met with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to present their concerns.

Following the discussion, the Chief Minister approved the setup of an exclusive taxi counter at Manohar International Airport, which will become operational from Monday.

The decision was met with approval by both the MLAs and the taxi operators, who welcomed the swift action by the government. The new counter is expected to streamline services and resolve several issues that had prompted the protest.

    Good to know a new taxi counter will exists in mangalore Airport.But how does it function?Whether prepaid taxi ,?or on mileage? It is not seldon taxiwala demands more than what was paid or argues till midnight ?and one has to pay more.
