Verna Police bust online gambling racket during India-Pakistan T20, five arrested

Verna, Sep 30: Verna police have cracked down on an online gambling racket in Sancoale, arresting five men allegedly running the illegal operation during the India-Pakistan T20 Asia Cup clash.

The arrested individuals include Deepak Karwani (35) from Madhya Pradesh, Manoj Mukhiya (25) and Madan Mukhiya (44) from Bihar, and Jagdish Choudhary (40) and Arvind Vishwakarma (25) from Maharashtra.

During the raid, police seized 54 mobile phones, seven laptops, two internet routers, a television set, 17 bank passbooks, and other electronic devices, all reportedly linked to transactions worth several lakhs of rupees.

Authorities have stated that further investigations are underway to identify the full extent of the network and other individuals involved in the illegal gambling operation.
